ACLS & PALS Courses

The PALS and ACLS Blended Learning Skill Checks are each offered twice per year in alternating quarters. Both the PALS and ACLS Skill Checks are approximately 6 hours long and completed in one day.

Steps to acquiring ACLS/PALS Certification via Blended Learning Course: 

Part 1- Online Portion of the AHA Course:

  1. Go online to elearning.heart.org to purchase and complete the AHA Online portion of the blended-learning class.
  2. Select the course in the discipline (ACLS, or PALS) that you need.
  3. The AHA course is self-paced and can be completed from any computer.
  4. At the end of the online class, you will receive a certificate of completion.
  5. Once you have the certificate, visit our Course Calendar to schedule your hands-on Skills Check.

Part 2- IREMSC In-Person AHA Skills Check Class:

A certificate of completion from the online AHA course, as mentioned in part 1, is required to participate in the Skills Check Class. Once you have the certificate, you can register for the hands-on skills check. Visit our Course Calendar to schedule your hands-on Skills Check Class.

IREMSC In-Person Hand-on Skills Checks at:

  1. ACLS – $175.00
  2. PALS - $175.00

Rescheduling and Refund Policy:

Rescheduling:

    • To reschedule, you must submit a written request via email to training@iremsc.org at least 7 days prior to your scheduled class.
    • You are allowed to reschedule only once.
    • We will make every effort to accommodate you in the next available class. However, if no suitable class is available, the course fee will be forfeited.

Refunds:

    • Refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to training@iremsc.org at least two weeks before the scheduled course date.
    • If a class is canceled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 students), you will be notified and given the option to choose an alternate date or receive a full refund.

Refunds will not be provided if you reschedule a class and subsequently decide to cancel it. Failure to reschedule or request a refund within the specified time frame will result in the forfeiture of your course fee.

You also have the option to contact our AHA instructors to set up a class at a time convenient to both you and the instructor.  These instructors will do group and/or individual classes.  Prices will vary as each instructor is an independent contractor.
